Hello friends,
My foster mom can't take me anywhere today.
She has a colossal headache and needs to spend
the day hiding under the covers.
You can still earn a point though. All you have
to do is tell me why I would like living with
you. Creativity and exaggeration are encouraged
but not required.
All entries receive one point. No deadline. No
winner.
Brave Domo

You would love living with me! At nighttime we would snuggle under my blankets ( my favorite blanket is named " time for cozy" ) and have fart contests. We would also sing songs under my glow-in-the-dark stars about narwhals and unicorns and dream together of roller coasters and waterfalls. In the morning, every morning, without a doubt, I would let YOU press the french press and have the first bite of marzipan. You could ride in my front pocket on the way to my house where I nanny, and Lila and Persephone could play hunt the dragon with us and for lunch we would eat beans and rice and have more farting contests. The next door neighbors have chickens, and they like to have their picture taken, and you could be in the foreground. I would never lie to you, never steal your change, you could share my toothbrush and I also am pretty darn good at making origami cranes. And cootie catchers. I think my Friends With You ( Wish come True ) Mr. TTT would like you a lot, too. He's shaped like a burger or a galactic peppermint, depending on your mood. I also like cookies. And watching David Letterman on You tUbe. And maybe we could bring presents to the fairy next door. Will you help me>? I like your smile, let's be friends! Whee!!!
If you live with me, every day will be like a choose your own adventure with less adjectives! We start the day by balancing on the edge of the tub in order to reach the light above the mirror. If neither of us fall and break our necks, we can brush our teeth and do each other's hair.
Breakfast is next. We have many toast options at our house, so the sky's the limit for your morning meal. Well, the sky isn't *literally* the limit-- that limit is the upstairs floor. Still, though... toast! And lots of it!
Having had our fill, we put on our socks (but leave the pants for later). Then we pick out the capes we will be wearing that day.
If you pick the red cape, we will sit in the comfy chair and watch the roving bands of corgies frolicking in the park across the street, bounding about on their stubby little legs. We can bet real money on who will hunt down the ball first, or which one poops closest to the playground.
If you pick the blue cape, then it's time to write our letters to the editor(s). Tuesdays we write to NWCN. You can even choose our topic! My roommate Jeero-Ramone likes to write to Cisco about pie.
The rest of our days will be spent in the hammock listening to Herb Alpert (and the occasional Tijuana Brass) and fashioning tiny hats for the field mice. I have a really great pattern for an authentic Canadian Tocque that I got from an itinerant goose.
We will close each night with a goodnight kiss from my gerbil, George Peppard, followed by an extreme tucking. Then we will fall asleep under the weight of the three geriatric cats who have been lurking in your peripheral vision the whole time.
(PS - mnvnjnsn and Emily C are the same person. I accidentally signed in with the wrong user name the first time - we're both from medicineballs.blogspot.com and we're both me. Sorry for the confusion).
You would have a great time living at my house because I have lots and lots of little amigurumi friends you can play with. There's little crocheted William T. Goat, Clive the felted puffin, Lemonieu the Avatar, Oskie the Cal bear, and about a dozen little calamari squids who love to play canasta. And I'm constantly making new friends! Soon there will be little felted bunny and Dusty the desert squid. You all can have tea parties and wii competitions while I'm at work.
And when I get home, we will ensconce ourselves in the comfy chair, curl under my super super soft comfy blanket, eat chex mix, and watch Eddie Izzard dvds.
You will feel right at home at my house, because we already have Domo-kun t-shirts and calendars. In fact, you used to be my blog avatar until Lemonieu showed up and begged me for a job. If you come live with me I'll give you the choice of whether you'd like to be my avatar again. Domo!
If you come live with me I'll let you drive my car. ;-)
p.s. Hope your foster mom feels better soon. Tell her to try applying pressure to her achilles heels of both feet one after another and see if it helps. Pinch the tendon firmly between the thumb and index finger and hold for about 30 - 60 seconds. Then massage gently.
Good luck.
Wow, I'm going to have a fantabulous life!
p.s. Thanks Petals, mom is feeling better today. : )
hi little domo. i think the other homes sound fun, but if you lived with us we could have breakfast for dinner every night and you could teach me how to knit and we could make lots of little baby domos together and live happily ever after!
You would gain the eternal love of a precious canine soul. 'Nuff said. :)
(Narrated in the voice of Robin Leech-sp...):
You would sit atop the bay windowsill and be able to see the fabulous views of SE Portland.
A cat and a dog would snuggle with you, and you would get regular feedings of cookie dough, pancake batter, and the freshest vegetables.
